Your Cats Feeding Routine

An adult cat should be fed once or twice a day. Serve the food at the same time anCat Nutritiond place each day. For variety use a mixture of both dry and canned food. Follow the manufactures instructions for the quantity. An adult 4kg (8lb) cat needs around 400g (14oz) of canned food and 50g (20z) of dry food per day. Cat with freedom to roam will need more food than house cats. Avoid giving snacks between meals. If you think your cat is eating too much, consult your vet, as overeating and obesity can be a problem in cats. Do not leave food lying around, clear any uneaten food immediately and wash the bowl thoroughly. Do not feed your cat from your food at the table, cats can form anti-social behaviour and begin to pester you at meal times.
